TeamViewer 12 | Features and Performances
With over 200 million users worldwide, TeamViewer is one of the most popular remote control software. And, there are plenty of remote control software out there for Windows, none of them come close to
TeamViewer when it comes to features and performance.
Accessing Files
TeamViewer 12, a later version of the software, unlike the version 10 and 11 (Previous versions) now
allows easy access of all features like remote control, computers, contacts, and chat.
File Transfer
Everyone knows that Team Viewer supports file transfer. But now, thanks to the version 12, file transfer
is now 20 times faster with speed up to 200MB/s. Large files transfer can now be done at a very
incredible speed.
Screen Sharing
The screen sharing feature now supports screen sharing with frame rates up to 60 frames per second for a better visual experience. Also, the new cross-platform mobile-to-mobile remote control and screen sharing is one of the prominent new features of Team Viewer 12. The mobile remote control and screen sharing is available for Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
Sharing From OneDrive
Users that have OneDrive for Business, can share files from your OneDrive for Business account using
TeamViewer.
How To Establish A Connection
Now, to establish a connection, TeamViewer has to be running on both machines. But you have to install
the software application for computer users that don’t have the application. And to do so, administrator
access is required, but after installation, it can be run by any other user.
When Team Viewer is started on a computer, it generates a partner ID and password (user-defined passwords are also supported). Team viewers generated ID and password of either client are required, to establish a connection between a local client and a remote client.
The local client requires the remote client’s ID and password to gain control over the remote client.
Whereas, the remote client requires the local client’s ID and password to gain control over the local
client.
Starting an online meeting requires a Meeting ID from the presenter to the participants. Also, meetings
can only be joined using the Team Viewer full version. Or logging into http://go.teamviewer.com or click HERE. Meetings can also be scheduled in advance.
Security
TeamViewer uses RSA private/public key exchange (2048-bit) and AES (256-bit) session encryption. Also, in the default configuration, it uses the server www.teamviewer.com to start up the connection and traffic routing between the local client and the remote host machine.
The software then determines how to establish a connection. In 70% of the cases after the TCP/IP Handshake. A direct connection via UDP or TCP is established. Also, other connections are routed through TeamViewer GmbH’s router network (via TCP or HTTP-tunneling).
