The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is seen to be the successor of the Samsung Galaxy Fold. The last Samsung Galaxy Fold was released the last year 2019 and to date, the phone is said to be Samsung’s most innovative device.
However, early this year Samsung released another stunning folding phone model which was Galaxy Z Flip, but we are still expecting a sequel to Samsung Galaxy Fold in a few month’s time.
Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Design
From the little description made by Max Weinbach, it sounds like the Galaxy Fold 2 will be awesome. The device will come with material choices like aluminum and glass type and also ceramic and stainless type, and it will also be finished with lovely colors like silver, gold, blue, pink or black.
Samsung is to include a notch on the inside for the selfie camera but rumor had it that they might introduce their “Infinity-O” punch hole for the selfie camera for this device also.
Samsung used the Infinity-O design for Galaxy Note 10, Z Flip, and also Galaxy S 20. While others report that Samsung will be using the under-display camera, that will be removing the existence of black space on the phone screen.
Which another one that comes with the device seems cool, for there will be more space for a display to enjoy than what was there before.
Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Cameras
The Samsung Galaxy Fold came with amazing camera hardware, it had six camera sensors, a 16MP Ultra-wide sensor, a 12 MP wide-angle sensor, a 12 MP telephoto sensor at the back, at the front a 10MP camera, a 10 Mp main camera and 8MP depth sensor on the inside. All this gives great picture quality.
However, there are chances that Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will come better than the original version. Max Weinbach reported that the device might come with the Galaxy S20 Plus camera arrangements.
It had a 3x optical zoom 64MP telephoto sensor, 12MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with a time of flight camera to assist the other cameras.
Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Performance
The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will be using the latest chip in the Snapdragon series, which is Snapdragon 865. The original Samsung Galaxy Fold used the Snapdragon 855 chip.
These are information gotten from Max Weinbach. He has gotten a good record of accurate leaks information, and that’s a little assurance on our leak.
Battery and charging
The Samsung Galaxy Fold came with 4,380mAh battery capacity, we hope Samsung will add a little room for more capacity for the Galaxy Fold 2. With more displaying coming in the Fold 2 it deserves to come with more capacity.
However, the charging speed should be improved. It should come with the Samsung new 25W and 45W charging protocol, unlike the Galaxy Fold 15W.
Fold 2 screen size.
The Samsung Fold has 2 displays, the front one is 4.6′ and another across the interior when unfolded its total of 7.3′.
Max Weinbach claims the front display will come with an “Infinity V-Display”. That’s the official name given to the water-drop design by Samsung. He said the Fold will come larger, instead of the unfolded 7.3′ it will be 8′.
The screen will be made by Samsung’s ultra-thin glass that came along with the Samsung Z Flip.
Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 release date.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to be launched in July or August together with Galaxy Note 20. The 2 phones (Galaxy S20 and Fold 2) have been confirmed by the Kernel source code that they exist.
The CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, Ross Young. Supports the time frame of the phone release. And he said he does not expect the coronavirus pandemic to delay the release of the phones. Like it is reportedly delaying the manufacturing of Apple’s iPhone 12.
Galaxy Fold 2 Price.
The Galaxy Fold price was launched at $1,980. So we are expecting the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 to be on that same price range. It can be a bit higher than the Galaxy Fold, due to the upgrades and release.
However, according to a series of tweets on the Galaxy Fold 2 that came from Ross Young. He said they might be a little reduction in price. He estimates the phone price to be at the range of $1,780, $1,880, $1,895 and $1,980. Should be the likely price Samsung will settle on.
