Samsung display is showing off new foldable tech. Manufacturers are not taking it easy this year as they launch various tech features.

And now, Samsung Display has made everyone amazed by showing off its latest concepts. For both sliding and folding screens.

SamMobile saw the concepts being displayed as part of a virtual Display Week exhibition.

Not excluding a “multi-foldable” mobile display as well as a huge 17-inch folding screen. If you didn’t remember to mail out your Happy Display Week cards. You still have enough grace since it operates through Friday.

Samsung Display named its first concept “S-foldable”

Samsung Display has named its first concept “S-foldable”. Together with a bi-fold design that opens up to a screen size of 7.2 inches maximum. This is also similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 except, plus one fold.

Also, there is a sliding mobile display that is similar to the unlucky rollable concept. That LG displayed earlier this year before it left the smartphone space altogether.

Samsung Display is as well displaying 2 concepts for greater panels. Not excluding a 17 inch foldable OLED that is table-sized when it is being folded. And can also operate as a monitor when it is unfolded.

There is also a more traditional-looking laptop display, it doesn’t fold nor flex. However, it includes an under-display camera.

Samsung Display is a division of Samsung Electronics

In addition to all that was being said, Samsung Display is a division of Samsung Electronics. And it manufactures OLED panels for use by Samsung. As well as the rest of the consumer tech manufacturers.

So while all these concepts might just end up in upcoming Samsung products, it is not really guaranteed.

Although, Samsung has not been shy about welcoming and appreciating foldable technology. Going into the market of foldable devices early. Soon, it may have more company; display OEM TCL has displayed its own concepts.

And has made it clear that this year, it will introduce one to the market. Till then, we will keep streaming and filling out our own foldable concept bingo cards.
