What is Qualcomm used for?
Wondering what Qualcomm is used for?
Well, Qualcomm Technologies’ platforms are purpose created for end-use products. So, whether you are building a robot, a mobile phone, or even a Wi-Fi router.
Their platforms will help you in building your next product and get it to launch properly.
Moreover, the Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile platforms are designed in such a way that it is intelligent, fast, smooth and also secure with amazing products.
Qualcomm Snapdragon feature processors with combining cutting-edge features, multi-core CPUs. As well as unbelievable power efficiency and support for worldwide network connectivity with unbelievable speeds.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 780G chipset promises more flagship features for less.
Qualcomm has introduced its newest 7-series processor, which is the Snapdragon 780G. The Snapdragon 780G trickles down features from the flagship Snapdragon 888 chipset of the company.
While still providing manufacturers a more affordable phone.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G takes the new top slot in the 7-series lineup. While replacing the 765G /768G (the latter being largely a frequency-boosted version of the former). It is so clear that there is a normal boost in performance.
The Snapdragon features Qualcomm’s Kyro 670 CPU of which Qualcomm says offers a 40% boost in performance. As well as a new Adreno 642 GPU for close to 50% faster graphics compared to the 765G.
However, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G also allows some new functionality. Just like the Spectra 570 triple ISP (image signal processor). Which, like the Snapdragon 888, enables phones to capture 3 simultaneous photo or video feeds at a time.
And just like the Snapdragon 888, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G features Qualcomm’s 6th generation AI engine operating on a new Hexagon 770 processor which can carry out 12 trillion operations per second (TOPS).
And this is twice that of its predecessor, even if it is nothing compared to the 26 TOPS that the Snapdragon 888 provides. Also, it features the second-gen Sensing Hub of which Qualcomm premiered on its flagship chipset.
The Snapdragon has upgraded connectivity features
Finally, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G has upgraded connectivity features, together with an integrated Snapdragon X53 5G modem that assures us up to 3.3Gbps speeds on Sub-6 GHz 5G networks.
And like its more expensive sibling, the Qualcomm snapdragon 780G includes supports for Wi-Fi 6E. And what does it means? It simply means that phones having a new chip will be able to enjoy the fastest Wi-Fi speeds around. Plus Bluetooth 5.2 as well.
Moreover, the first phones with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G are expected to be released in the 2nd quarter of 2021.
