OnePlus has announced its two new affordable Nord phones – the N10 5G and N100. The two phones lay under the existing £379/€399 OnePlus Nord when it comes to specs and price. The N10 5G starts at £329 in the United Kingdom. And a price of €349 in Germany which is around $412 and it is powered by a Snapdragon 690.
However, the N100 starts at £179 and €199 which is around $235 in the same countries. And is also powered by a Snapdragon 460.
OnePlus has promised that the N10 5G and the N100 will launch eventually in North America. Unlike the initial Nord, which was launched only in Europe and some parts of Asia. OnePlus also mentioned that the two phones will be up for grabs there. But “at a later date”, according to their European release.
The company mentions that the N100 will get to the UK on the 10th of November. Together with the N10 5G which will arrive later in November.
OnePlus Nord N10 5G will allow for Sub-6GHz
Just as the name implies, the OnePlus Nord N10 5G is a 5G handset. That is the phone will allow for Sub-6GHz but not mmWave in Europe. The OnePlus is yet to say which 5G tech it will allow in North America and it also has have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
It has also got a somewhat bigger screen than the costlier OnePlus Nord of 6.49 inches. And it has got the same 90Hz refresh rate. It has got a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor instead of an in-display one, however, you will get dual stereo speakers.
And that is a feature that was nowhere to be found from the Nord. The 4,300mAh battery of the device can be charged fast with Warp Charge 30T, and it comes with Android 10 outside the box.
What to expect at the back of the new devices
Just at the back of the OnePlus Nord N10 5G, you will see a quad-camera array that is made up of a main 64-megapixel camera, macro, and monochrome cameras, as well as a 119-degree ultrawide camera. The selfies are being controlled by a 16-megapixel camera.
The OnePlus N100 is the lower-end of both devices, however, it has got still a big 6.52-inch display as well as dual stereo speakers. It has as well got a larger battery of 5,000 mAh, however, it can be charged fast only at about 18W.
And the RAM as well as the storage area brought down also at 4GB and 64GB respectively although, it can be expanded.
It is 4G instead of 5G, and you get to have a fewer rear camera here for a setup of triple-camera. You will also find a main camera of 13-megapixel, as well as two more cameras for macro shots and portraits. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. And the phone also operates Android 10 outside the box, just, like the OnePlus N10 5G.
When we made some review on the OnePlus Nord earlier this 2020, we saw that it did a good job at giving the traditional strength of OnePlus at a lesser price point. However, the OnePlus N10 5G as well as the N100 are still cheaper. So, it will be very nice to see if OnePlus has gotten a similar balance this time.
