Lenovo Legion 7i and 5i Pro Gaming Laptop packs in the latest from Intel, Nvidia. Leno has announced its latest gaming laptops, the Lenovo Legion 7i and 5i Pro in its Legion line. Both models from Lenovo have got the latest processor from Intel.

Also, some with the newest mobile graphics chips from Nvidia were announced also by Lenovo.

Lenovo Legion 7i

The Lenovo Legion 7i has the world’s first 16-inch WQXGA resolution display which is 2560 x 1600 pixels on a gaming laptop.

It also has a 165Hz refresh rate, a 16:10 aspect ratio, 500 nit brightness, a 3 millisecond response time as well as a 100 percent sRGB color gamut.

The keyboard of the Lenovo Legion 7i also features per-key RGB lighting. And this is being powered by the iClue software of Corsair.

Lenovo Legion 7i

The Legion 7i is the flagship and can also fit the most amount of power. It supports up to a 165W total graphics power (TGP) variant of the RTX 3080 (16GB) of Nvidia.

Having a boost clock of 1,710 MHz and should allow for some great gaming performance.

The Lenovo Legion 7i can be configured with Intel’s flagship Core i9-11980HK processor, which is one of the fastest laptop chips on the market.

  • Up to 32GB of memory.

Lenovo Legion 5i Pro

Lenovo also said it will provide a Legion 5i Pro with the exact display as the Lonovo Legion 7i. However, configurations drive towards midrange. The processors include the Intel Core i7-11400H or the Intel Core i7-11800H.

While the graphics options begin with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 and end with the RTX 3070. It as well loses the RGB keyboard lighting of the Lenovo Legion 7i in favor of either a blue backlight or a white backlight.

Lenovo Legion 5i Pro

If either the 1440p or the 1080p gaming is okay for you, a non-Pro Legion 5i will also be available that provides the same configuration options as the Legion 5i Pro, however with a display of 15.6 inches.

You will also have your choice of either a WQHD (2560 x 1440) or an FHD (1920 x 1080) display. Plus a 300-nit brightness, a 165 Hz refresh rate as well as a 100 %sRGB color gamut.

Also, two other lesser-quality FHD displays will be available on the model. Simply means that you will have to pay more attention to what you are actually getting before you purchase them.

  • a 360 Hz refresh rate.
  • 1080p resolution.
  • 99% sRGB color gamut
  • 1ms response rate and
  • a 400 nit brightness.

The Lenovo Legion 5i Pro has a similarly fast and tall pixel-dense 16-inch QHD screen having the same 16:10 aspect ratio as the Lenovo Legion 7i.

The model tops out at the Core i7-11800H processor as well as the Nvidia’s RTX 3070 GPU. Having a maximum TGP of 140W plus a boost clock of 1,620MHz, which is still fast

The combination of specifications should be enough to play most of the games in QHD resolution at high graphical settings And this is a bit possible with some ray tracing effects turned on.

Pricing and Availability

The pricing and availability are not available for now as Lenovo hasn’t mentioned anything concerning that yet.

However, it seems like the Lenovo Legion 7i will launch in June 2021 and
it will be priced starting at $1,769.99.
