iPhone 13 Release
We should be expecting the launch of the iPhone 13 in September 2021, however that may be subject to change because of the Coronavirus Pandemic. For more than 10 years now, Apple has constantly launched its flagship phones at an event close to the beginning of September and released the phones after 10 days.
Well, all of that turned upside down in 2020. the reason is because of the coronavirus pandemic, and the phones were seriously delayed.
The Apple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 pro were thrown back to October. and the remaining two devices, which is the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 Pro max were launched in November, reports had it that it was due to a lack of parts for the production process.
So, if we are to choose a date for the release of the iPhone 13, Apple should be releasing the new iPhone 13 in September 2021, and indeed a well-respected Apple analyst agreed.
Price of the iPhone
According to a report from Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple Analyst, Apple will release 4 different sizes for the new iPhone. which are:
- a 5.4 inch iPhone 13 mini
- a 6.1 inch iPhone 13
- 6.1 inch iPhone 13 Pro
- and a 6.7 inch iPhone 13 Pro Max.
For the prices, we would expect the same price with the iPhone 12 lineup, which are $699, $799, $999, and $1,099 respectively. Apple seems to keep its pricing pattern fairly fixed from generation to generation, so we are not expecting any rise to the sticker price
Leaks and rumors of Apple New iPhone
Here are some suspected leaks and rumors about the new iPhone:
According to reports from display analyst ross young, the whole 2021 iPhone 12 lineup will feature the same camera sensors as the iPhone 12 pro max, bringing upgrades to the lower-end models. The sensor-shift stabilization will also be enlarged across the iPhone lineup in 2021.
Bringing upgrades in low light performance as well as stabilization by minimizing camera shake.
Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple Analyst does not expect to see useful improvements to the iPhone camera lenses through at least 2022, proposing no major hardware updates are in-coming in the iPhone 13 lineup. Apple could still provide rises in camera performance via software enhancements.
When talking about camera design, the rear camera unit may expand in size by 0.9mm on every model of the 13. The camera bump is foreseen to remain, however individual lenses may stand out less with the latest design.
Sensor-shift optical image stabilization, which is an iPhone 12 Pro Max feature, may be included in the 13 Pro.
Also, the LiDAR Scanner that was included in the iPhone 12 Pro, as well as the iPhone 12 Pro max. Could enlarge to the whole iPhone lineup in 2021, added in both standard models and Pro.
Improved battery Life
The iPhone 12 didn’t upgrade the battery life on mobiles that much over the iPhone 11 lineup. So we would definitely like to watch Apple place more focus on battery life.
iPhone 13 Display
If Apple definitely holds up to having 4 models of the new iPhone 13, then we can expect the displays of the new iPhone to measure 5.4 inches, 6.1 inches, and 6.7 inches respectively.
A report from ET News claims that Apple will include a 120Hz refresh rate for the 6.1 inches apple 13 Pro. While for the 13 Pro Max, a 6.7 inch. This will enable smoother scrolling and upgraded gameplay and video playback as well.
The leak was granted further reliance by a more current one. Than to note that the 2 iPhone 13 Pro models will receive the 120Hz display. Which will be able to scale its refresh rate up or down dynamically. Depending on what is being seen courtesy of an LTPO panel from Samsung Display. And this will definitely help in saving battery life.
