The access occurs via the Internet or through another network in another geographical location. It also allows users to interact with that system as if they were physically at their own computer system. Only Windows 10 Pro users can allow access to their computer. So if your Windows 10 is “Home edition”, then you won’t find any settings to enable Remote Desktop Connection on your System, but you will still be able to connect to another PC running Windows 10 Pro.

To Use Remote Desktop Connection in Windows 10, follow the steps:
- Allow remote access to your target System by Clicking on File Explorer – “find This PC”.
- Right-click to bring up the contextual menu. Then select Properties – Remote Settings and in the Remote Desktop section make sure that the “Allow remote connections to this computer” option is selected and untick the “Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication”. You can of course always return to it later to increase the security of your System. Finally, click on “ok”.

How to connect to a Remote Desktop
Remote Desktop Access Software exists for most OS and platforms, such as Microsoft OS, hand-held computing devices, Apple etc. Each has a product called Remote Desktop.
Other Remote Desktop products include CrossLoop, Citrix XenApp, Jaadu (for the iPod and iPhone Touch), pcAnywhere, GoToMyPC and Chicken of the VNC.
To use Remote Desktop on your Windows 10 OS, Previous Versions of Windows, Android or iOS device to connect to a System from a different location.
Set up the remote PC to allow remote connections. On the remote PC, open Settings and select System – About. Note the System name. Under Related settings, select System info.
At the left pane of the System window, select Advanced System Settings.
At the Remote tab of the System Properties dialog box, under Remote Desktop, select Allow remote connections to this computer, and select OK.
Then, in Settings, select System – Power & sleep, check to make sure Sleep is set to Never.
Finally, For Windows 10 System OS: In the search box at the taskbar, type Remote Desktop Connection, select Remote Desktop Connection. In Remote Desktop Connection, type the full name of the remote PC, then select Connect.
For your Android, Windows, or iOS device: Open the Remote Desktop application, add your remote PC. Select the remote PC, then wait for the connection to be completed.
Remote Desktop Service is a system where a user is able to connect to and use a specific PC from a remote location as if they were sitting in front of the PC at the time.
Imagine you are accessing your office computer from the laptop or PC at home, enabling you to manage files, use available resources and generally do everything you would be able to do if you were actually using that exact computer.
Remote Desktop Connection isn’t exactly easy to set up when compared to services such as VNC,, Team Viewer etc.
