How do I access the Facebook Pay?

  • Open your Facebook mobile app. If you do not have a Facebook account, you have to create one to get started.
  • After you must have done that, add a payment method. To do that, go to “Settings”, then navigate to “Payments” and click on “Account Settings”. Here, you can now add a US bank-issued debit card. Or you can choose to link your PayPal account. Note that PayPal payments are only available when sending on the Messenger mobile app.
  • Now begin your transfer by starting up a conversation and clicking on the dollar sign. After that, you will be asked to input the amount you wish to transfer or pay. Choose your payment method and tap “Pay”. Note that the money you are sending is only between Facebook users.

Once the person you are sending to receives the money, a notification message will be sent to the person on messenger.

Then the person can either choose to accept or deny the payment . As soon as the request is being accepted, the amount will be withdrawn from your linked account.
