How to fix”The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.” WordPress


Are you finding it difficult to upload files larger than 2mb? Sometimes this is caused when you’re trying to upload either a plugin or themes that are larger than 2MB while working on WordPress locally. Here is a quick solution to it.

Quick Solution

 

Navigate to this directory on your PC: ( C:\xampp\php) then search for (php.ini) use the following shortcut command (press the following combination: ctrl & “F” to find the following: “The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php-ini FIX” then change the 2M to 64M ) then save and restart your Apache server. Enjoy.

Note: Do not forget to SAVE and RESTART your Apache server.
