First Facebook added the memory lane flash back pictures, and then the birthday Facebook generated videos for Facebook users on their birthdays, and as though that wasn’t cool enough Facebook added a new feature that lets you react to posts with a Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad, or Angry emoticon.

Extending the user experience by making it easier for users to express how they feel in reaction to a post.

It took one year of international research. The research looked at how people were already commenting on posts, as well as the most used stickers and emoticons as an indication of the types of reactions people were already using.

Facebook tested Reactions in Ireland, Japan and Spain last year, and the feedback has been positive so far. So far we think the Facebook Emoticons is actually a good idea.
